The Alpaca Cabin
The Cabin was our family home for almost five years. A space that has been a sanctuary for our family and friends. We are now so proud to be able to open it out to guests to enjoy a holiday with us on the farm.
Our homely log cabin retreat is nestled on the edge of the picturesque South Downs National Park, in the charming village of Westbourne. Located a five minute walk from the village, you also have great links to the city of Chichester and Portsmouth, both a 20 -minute drive from the farm.
As you step into our rustic yet refined haven, you’ll instantly be embraced by the beauty of the surrounding twenty-four acre property. Our cabin reflects our British and Nigerian heritage where home is more than a building but how it makes you feel. This is our version of a UK safari lodge with alpacas on your doorstep. We hope your stay will be truly unique.
Designed to accommodate parties of 6. We can however accommodate up to 8 by making use of the sofa bed in the living room. With two bathrooms, convenience is paramount, ensuring everyone’s comfort during your stay.
Whether you’re seeking a romantic getaway, a family adventure, or a reunion with friends, our cabin offers the perfect blend of relaxation and adventure. Picture evenings spent gathered around the crackling log burner as you unwind from your day’s adventures.
Our self-catered kitchen awaits your culinary creations and is fully equipped. Whip up delicious meals using locally sourced ingredients or simply enjoy a leisurely breakfast while soaking in the stunning views of the farm.
Location & Other Accommodation on site
What truly sets us apart is our unique location on a captivating sustainability focused twenty four acre farm, where you’ll have the opportunity to connect with nature in a truly unforgettable way. There is an abundance of experiences awaiting you during your stay at Our Back Garden, whether you’re here for a brief moment or an extended retreat. Just 8 miles from Goodwood race course and some beautiful vineyards, beaches line our section of the south coast with plenty of seaside towns to complement your adventures.
The cabin is located on the end of our run of farm buildings, next to our other on-site accommodation, our “shepherds hut”. We ask that guest are respectful with noise levels between the hours 10pm-8am. We as a family live on site and will be available to assist with any issues during your stay. We have considered privacy of all our accommodation sites and have created private gardens for each.
Parties & Large bookings
If you wish to also book the hut which will accommodate further two guests, please enquire before booking so that we can make sure this is available for you. PLEASE NOTE ! if you are a Hen / Stag / party booking you will need to enquire before booking as you will need to pay to hire our hut alongside the cabin. This will allows for maximum capacity for guests and ensure other staying guests are not on site during your stay.

We have a range of activities on the farm which we are happy to discuss ahead of your stay. If you book with us between the months of March – October you will be entitled to a free Alpaca walking experience.
The Village
Westbourne village and its bordering locations have so much to offer in terms of activities and food. With three pubs, fish & chips, a highly recommended Indian restaurant, Co-op, local bakery and pharmacy the village has everything you need. However beyond the village there is so much to offer with the beautiful South Downs National Park on our doorstep and the sea a 20 minute walk or 5 minute drive away. You will find fully loaded welcome pack for our guests to make sure you get the most out of your time with us.
