Shepherd’s Hut stays in Hampshire
Come stay with us at Mill Meadows Farm in our cosy shepherd’s hut. The hut sleeps two people and is located on our family run farm, so you’ll have the best view of our rare breed animals, including our alpaca herd.
The accommodation is just the right size for a couple to have a fantastic break on the south coast of England. Located in Westbourne Village on the edge of the South Downs National Park with excellent links to Chichester and Portsmouth.
Enjoy Westbourne’s inviting local pubs, the places to eat and the friendly community feel. To reach the sea is only a 20-minute walk to Emsworth harbour and foreshore.
The Hut
Our hut is located south of the family cabin and situated in our pond garden in it’s own fenced area. You’ll get the best views of the farm and our Alpaca paddock.
Equipped with all the essentials you need to make your stay enjoyable. If available, we can provide fresh eggs and some seasonal produce from the farm, just ask when you arrive.
You will also be given a glass of prosecco to enjoy upon arrival which you can enjoy outside on the picnic bench while taking in the scenery. We can arrange food from our local partner for a picnic al-fresco (arranged in advance of arrival).

Sweet treats box @£25pp
A selection of handmade brownies, chocolate dipped strawberries and
cheesecake, wash this down with a delicious “stickie” (dessert wine) or a bottle of
Prosecco.
Dessert wine: Essensia orange Muscat- vibrant orange colour, sweet oranges and
apricots on palate with enough acidity to cut the sweetness
Prosecco: Strada de Guia 109- fragrant, fruity apple and acacia aroma and flavour
Cheese and wine box £30pp
A selection of local cheeses together with marinated olives, handmade chutney,
artisan crackers and dried apple slices all served with specially selected wine.
Please choose either red or white wine
(cheeses are subject to availability and change weekly but may include Ewes milk,
Cows milk and Goats milk cheeses, please notify us if you would prefer not to have
one of these included, Gluten free crackers available)
White wine: Picpoul de Pinet, Gerard Bertrand- white fruits, citrus fruits, honey
and white flowers, crisp and fresh.
Red wine: Imuri primitivo- red berry fruits with a hint of spice, full bodied, well
balanced with ripe fruit flavour.

The Facilities
There is a wet room at the other end of the garden for use of guests staying in the Hut. There may be some other experience guests who will use this facility during our experience hours. The OBG team will make sure toilets are regularly cleaned.
This will be stocked with essentials throughout your stay with us. We have also provided towels and mini toiletries to make sure that you have everything you need to make your trip to out wet room easy and carefree.
The outdoor space
There are so many ways to enjoy the outside space at The Hut! we have provided a setting for you to dine alfresco, have a BBQ, or simply sit and enjoy the firepit keeping you warm.
Should you need space to dine undercover we have built an extra undercover space for you to enjoy. This is situated in our poly tunnel which was our original aquaponics space.
During the winter months we will provide and indoor heater to keep you toasty and warm inside The Hut..
Parking & activities
During your stay in The Hut, we have onsite parking and you will be able to explore your garden and the adjacent paddock whenever you wish.
Should you wish to see the rest of the farm, you will need to book a farm tour, which you can organise with a member of the OBG team. We have a range of activities on the farm which we are happy to discuss ahead of your stay which includes our very popular alpaca walking experience which runs between march and October.
Westbourne village and its bordering locations have so much to offer in terms of activities and food, so we have a fully loaded welcome pack for our guests to make sure you get the most out of your time with us. Prices vary depending on the season and start from £60 per night with a £25 service charge.
