Shepherd’s Hut stay in Hampshire
Come stay with us at Mill Meadows Farm in our cosy shepherd’s hut. The hut sleeps two people and is located on our family run farm, so you’ll have the best view of our rare breed animals, including our alpaca herd.
The accommodation is just the right size for a couple to have a fantastic break on the south coast of England. Located in Westbourne Village on the edge of the South Downs National Park with excellent links to Chichester and Portsmouth.
Enjoy Westbourne’s inviting local pub, the places to eat and the friendly community feel. To reach the sea is only a 20-minute walk to Emsworth harbour and foreshore.
Our hut is located south of the family cabin and situated in our pond garden in it’s own fenced area. You’ll get the best views of the farm and our Alpaca paddock.
Equipped with all the essentials you need to make your stay enjoyable. You will receive a welcome hamper on arrival that will have fresh local eggs, milk, and a range of tea and coffee to make you feel at home.
You will also be given a bottle of prosecco to enjoy upon arrival which you can enjoy outside on the picnic bench while taking in the scenery. We can arrange food from our local partner for a picnic al-fresco (arranged in advance of arrival).

There is a wet room at the other end of the garden for exclusive use of guests staying in the Hut.
This will be stocked with essentials throughout your stay with us. We have also provided robes and towels to make sure that you have everything you need to make your trip to out wet room easy and carefree.
The outdoor space
There are so many ways to enjoy the outside space at The Hut! we have provided a setting for you to dine alfresco, have a BBQ, or simply sit and enjoy the firepit keeping you warm.
Should you need space to dine undercover we have built an extra undercover space for you to enjoy. This is situated in our poly tunnel, where you can see what we’ve been growing locally and organically on our farm.
During the winter months we will provide and indoor heater to keep you toasty and warm inside The Hut..
Parking & activities
During your stay in The Hut, we have onsite parking and you will be able to explore your garden and the adjacent paddock whenever you wish.
Should you wish to see the rest of the farm, you will need to book a farm tour, which you can organise with a member of the OBG team. We have a range of activities on the farm which we are happy to discuss ahead of your stay which includes our very popular alpaca walking experience which runs between march and October.
Westbourne village and its bordering locations have so much to offer in terms of activities and food so we have a fully loaded welcome pack for our guests to make sure you get the most out of your time with us.
