We launched our shop 4 years ago!! Alpaca wool is my world and it’s been so exciting to be able to create UK sourced and manufactured range that we can share with you all. I have spent over a decade as a fashion buyer and I have loved working for a number of brands bringing amazing fashion products to market.

I set up the brand back in 2018 alongside a full-time buying job, which couldn’t have done without my amazing family who help run the farm. The pandemic was an incredibly hard moment for me after being made redundant from a company and career I loved and gave so much of myself to; I realised it was time to give the time and energy to our family business. Identity crisis aside I knew there was so much we wanted to create and share here in Our Back Garden which has kept us growing through rain or shine.

When I set up Our Back Garden I knew there was a huge opportunity to share with our community our love of Alpacas and the wonderful natural yarn they produce. It is

my hope that being able to give customers visibility of our supply chain and allow you also access to see how our fluffies live and thrive here in Our Back Garden not just on the farm but here in the UK. You can trust your natural yarn product is lovingly collected and created with care.
