Alpaca Yoga

Stretch, move and meditate ... with a fluffy audience.

Yoga with the alpacas…

Back for a second Summer, join Danny aka SaltFox Yoga in the Alpaca paddock for a chance to ground yourself in nature.

Before the farm opens for the day come up on the deck with your mat and look out over Our Back Garden. Join a slow flow sequence suitable for all yoga experiences before Danny guides you out into the field to meet the herd up close and personal.

Whilst the fence will separate you from the herd so you can focus safely on your practice, the fluffies are very nosey and love to check out all the postures you’ll be taking. After class the boundaries can drop and you’ll spend the last half an hour having a mini meet and greet session.

What do I need?

  • A yoga or gym mat – Your teacher has a few spares though.

  • Comfortable clothes – Socks and layers can help as you’re outside.
  • Water – Stay hydrated.

  • Experience?  – Nope. Danny loves teaching first-timers.

  • Closed in shoes – Safe to meet alpacas in.

Who’s your teacher?

Danny has been part of Our Back Garden for a nearly three years! Starting life as a customer she fell in love with the farm, the ethos and the alpacas after being gifted an Alpaca Walk for a Christmas Gift. Finding the time to volunteer she got stuck in to farm life come rain or shine and finally took the leap to apply as one of the Experience Guides. Successful in applying for the role you can find her onsite leading experiences, teaching yoga, managing the social media or making a flat white in the Alpaca café.

In 2025 and following some big life changes, Danny headed to Bali to complete her Yoga Teacher Training with YogaUnion, having had a personal practice for many years. A natural teacher she loves to share her passion for all aspects of yoga; guiding her students beyond the physical postures on the mat and letting go of perfection. A big fan of accessibility, options, props and Yoga for Cancer trained, she likes to remind her students that, “You wont miss out on enlightenment because you can’t do the splits.”

She’s insured, 2oohr trained and mentored still by (she thinks) some of the best teachers.
