Join us on the farm to get in the festive spirit. This year we are excited to welcome a brand new creative and class to Our Back Garden. A festive beginners calligraphy class. Learn how to use a nib & ink, with demonstrations and guidance from Chanele Castle; starting with how to hold the pen, practicing the basic nib strokes, the calligraphy alphabet, using ink and metallic paints, then putting it all together to create shimmering Christmas place settings for your dining table, gift tags & festive greetings cards.
All the equipment you need will be available to use in the class, and all your practice sheets and festive creations will be yours to keep.
About Miss Castle
“Growing up, art and creativity was encouraged and shared in my family. My grandad, Eric Castle, was a talented artist, and when he passed away, I wanted to do something to feel closer to him, so I started learning Calligraphy for myself, I found it thoroughly enjoyable and therapeutic. Soon I was commissioned to do bespoke pieces, which led to creating beautiful wedding designs, lettering for christenings and gatherings as well as posters and murals. I have invested my time in improving my skills over the years through workshops and masterclasses as well as running an extra curricular club in school for students 11 and above. I love that everybody’s penmanship style is unique, and I’m really excited to share a little bit of festive creativity with you this Christmas! “
